METHOD FOR MAKING MINIATURE GEAR WHEELS WITH CYCLOID-PROFILED TOOTHING

The invention relates to a method for making miniature wheels with cycloid-profiled toothing, for watchmaking and micro mechanical mechanisms having sizes of 1 mm, at the most. The claimed method consists in making a form tooth consisting of a rigid support coated with a conducting layer over which there is deposited a light-sensitive laquer layer onto which the configuration of the future gear wheel is marked with a laser beam generated by a UV source, the resulting support being then placed in a galvanic bath wherein the empty spaces are filled by electrodeposition, after which the remaining light-sensitive laquer is removed by chemical processes or in plasma, depending on the photoresist employed.
