The invention relates to technical solutions for protecting wetland ecosystems and population against flood, intended to protect settlements located on river banks while maintaining the ecological state of wetlands located between the main river course and the human settlements. According to the invention, the solution consists of an assembly comprising a retaining dike (1) which ensures lateral connectivity to the river by some viaducts (2) provided with some gates (3), some pumping stations (4) for controlling the water level in wetlands, some DKTB monitoring stations (5) which on-line register the water level and quality, and a control and warning system (6) which control the opening and closing of gates (3) and the pump operation, while sending in due time information to interested decision makers, so that, depending on the zone in which it is placed, the above-mentioned assembly may comprise n portions of dike (1), m portions of viaducts (2) which sum up the total length of the zone that needs protection, l pumping stations (4) and k monitoring stations (5), where, in an embodiment concerning such a system placed in a protected wetland having a length L=10 km, equal to the sum of the n=26 portions of dike (1) and m=25 viaducts (2), there are l=3 pumping stations (4) and k=1 monitoring station (5) and one control and warning system (6), while, for selecting the zones in which the system is to be placed, the connectivity between the river and the wetlands shall be considered, requiring measurements to be performed in the initial stage, aiming at determining the normal operation regime, by determining the water flowing rates and depth. |
