A method for processing a volume model with at least one object intended to be added to or subtracted from said model, the method being implemented by a computer, the volume model including a set of first points arranged according to a spatial grid, in a first reference system, each of said first points being assigned an intensity value, the object including a plurality of second points positioned in a second reference system that is distinct from the first reference system, the method comprising: receiving one or more images of a physical object, the one or more images being a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) image or an X-ray tomography image, and generating the volume model based on the received one or more images; and calculating, for each second point, an image point in the first reference system using a transfer function from the second reference system to the first reference system; wherein the method further includes modifying the intensity of first points by applying a correction function associated with each image point; the value of the correction function at a first point being dependent on the position of said first point relative to said image point with which said correction function is associated; and wherein the correction function associated with an image point includes a corrective modulus that is dependent on the distance between said image point and the first point in the first reference system.
