Proposed is a press with an intermediate movable crosspiece skirting the working zone of the press, the press comprising a horizontal support frame with two vertical guide poles for sliders fixed on the frame edges; an intermediate movable crosspiece carrying two hollow sliders fixed at its edges; two vertical links mounted on the intermediate moving crosspiece by means of two hinges for controlling the moving force up to blocking of the hinges; a top pressing traverse with a vertical central opening mounted on vertical links with easily detached axles passing through openings in the links; two forcing screws mounted on the support frame on bearings arranged inside the guide posts and the sliders and interacting with non-rotatable forcing nuts; two driven conical gears engaged with two driving conical gears and fixed rigidly to bottom ends of the forcing screws lower than the working surface of the support frame; driving gears transmitting a torque to the forcing screws and mounted on a drive shaft with a handle, the drive shaft being mounted on bearings in the support frame. The press is versatile and compact; the upper, easily detachable, movable crosspiece is adjustable for height and easily replaceable. |
