1. A method of making unit cell sized oxide particulates, comprising:
preparing a water solution of a metal or ceramic salt; stirring the water solution; adding KO2 to the water solution and forming a reaction solution comprising metal oxide nanoparticles wherein the metal oxide nanoparticles are selected from the group consisting of Fe3O4, Mn3O4, ZnO2, and Pt2O; stirring the reaction solution; placing the reaction solution in a centrifuge tube; spinning down the reaction solution; and harvesting the metal oxide nanoparticles wherein the metal oxide nanoparticles are selected from the group consisting of Fe3O4, Mn3O4, ZnO2, and Pt2O. |
