摘要 The invention is related to veterinary medicine, in particular, to surgical access to kidneys in dogs and cats, and can be used in agriculture and in surgery of small domestic animals. The technical result that can be attained by the present invention is reduced time of surgical intervention and its lower degree of injury. The essence of the method of surgical access to kidneys in dogs and cats consists in the following. A lateral abdominal incision is made. Access to the left-side kidney is oblique dissection of skin in cranio-ventro-caudal direction from the point of intersection of two lines: the line corresponding to projection of the last rib on skin, and the line connecting costal processes of lumbar vertebrae, at an angle of 40° to the last rib. Access to the right-side kidney is dissection of skin in the dorso-ventral direction, in parallel to the costal arch. Peritoneal folds are dissected with scissors, this opens maximum access to the organ. Access to the right-side kidney is based on its topography - skin incision in the dorso-ventral direction, in parallel to the costal arch allows the greatest visual accessibility and maximum opening of a surgical wound without injuring the abdominal organs.
