1. A method for creating a sports video, said method comprising:
receiving, by a processing unit, video of a sporting event inclusive of players with unique identifiers on their respective uniforms; identifying, by the processing unit, at least one unique identifier of the players in the video; defining, by the processing unit, start times of video segments from the video at an initial time that the at least one unique identifier enters a respective video segment; determining whether a certain number of frames or seconds between identifying the at least one unique identifier within the respective video segments has passed without identifying the at least one unique identifier; if a determination is made that a certain number of frames or seconds has passed since a previous time that a respective player associated with the at least one unique identifier was identified in the respective video segments, setting a final time of the respective video segments at the previous time that the player associated with the at least one unique identifier was identified, otherwise, waiting to set a final time of the respective video segments until a determination is made that a certain number of frames or seconds has passed since a previous time that a player associated with the at least one unique identifier was identified in the respective video segments; defining, by the processing unit, stop times of each of the respective video segments at the final time that the at least one unique identifier is in the video relative to the respective start times; and causing, by the processing unit, video segments inclusive of the at least one unique identifier to be individually available for replay. |
