摘要 The invention prevents uncontrolled filling of the biosphere with gas and aerosol emissions from hazardous industrial facilities. Field of application: nuclear fuel cycle facilities, thermal power plants, enterprises of metallurgical and chemical industry. The method uses wind power plants of a megawatt class built around the site of the hazardous facility. Under normal conditions, the peripheral wind farm operates for in-house loads of the controlled facility. Registration of hazardous emissions from the facility brings the wind farm under automated control for biosphere protection. Synchronously with movements of wind above the facility, wind power plants to which the emission plume is shifting are identified, and generators of such plants are switched over to the motoring condition. In the motoring condition, powerful wind plants are used as high-rise industrial fans creating directional air flows. By controlling turbulence of air flows, coagulation and precipitation of aerosols is promoted, wind-induced spread of emissions is restricted to bounds of the sanitary protection zone of the site where emissions are confined and removed, which prevents chaotic spread of toxic materials over the Earth surface. Costs of implementing the invention - a new echelon of protection against hazardous anthropogenic emissions inflicting practically irreparable damage - are paid back in the course of industrial operation of the wind farm.
