The invention relates to a process and a device for pumping water using the flowing energy of rivers. According to the invention, the process consists in that it takes the energy needed for water pumping from the very water flowing, while converting the water motion into mechanical work which is then directly used to pump water. The device intended to carry out the process, as claimed, consists of a pair of floating elements or floats (21 and 22), which are provided with an anchoring system on which there are fixed a pair of cylinders (23 and 24) provided each with an intake valve (25 and 26), each of them coupled to a strainer (27 and 28) and a discharge valve (29 and 30), each of them being coupled to a discharge pipe (31 and 32), a paddle rotor (33) having a shaft (34) fixed to the floating elements (21 and 22) by a bearing system (35 and 36), a pair of crank and connecting rod systems (37 and 38), an additional float (39) placed at the prow, with the role of balancing by free rotation about an axle (40) and a stiffening system (41 and 42). |
