The invention is related to the field of industrial explosion equipment. The explosion detonator cartridge (EDC) is designed for initiation of blasthole, borehole and other charges of industrial explosives during conduction of drilling-and-blasting operations. The technical results include higher reliability of impulse transmission to the main blasthole or borehole charge of insensitive industrial explosives, and higher economical efficiency (lower cost) of drilling-and-blasting operations due to lower weight and greater height of ECD. The explosion detonator cartridge including a charge of any explosive or mixtures of various explosives permitted for use in mining industries, having geometrical dimensions and weight suitable for the planned type of blasting operations, manufactured by various methods: casting, pressing, filling; having a shell of various materials or having no shell, and structurally including elements (a blind channel, bores, recesses) required for accommodation of various initiation means, characterized in that the cross-section of the explosive charge has a shape of a figure of constant width comprising a region of intersection of three equal circles having centres at apexes of a regular triangle and radii equal to the triangle side.
