The present disclosure provides processes for producing images with toner particles. In embodiments, toner particles of a certain diameter in size are applied to a substrate as an incomplete monolayer, and then fused to form an image that is a complete monolayer and possesses a thickness less than the diameter of the particles utilized to form the image. |

1. A process for forming an image with a toner comprising:
applying hyperpigmented, core-shell, low melt emulsion aggregation toner particles to a substrate wherein the emulsion aggregation toner particles having a volume average diameter of about 2 μm to about 7 μm, wherein the toner having a pigment load from 7% to about 40% by weight of the toner, wherein the toner particles comprise, a low molecular weight amorphous polyester resin which exhibits a glass transition temperature of from about 30° C. to about 80° C.; and fusing the toner particles to the substrate to form an image; wherein a 100% solid area single color patch of said image has a thickness of from 1 μm to about 5 μm, which is less than about 70% of said diameter of said toner particles, wherein ratio of the single color solid area patch thickness after fusing to patch thickness before fusing is less than 0.65. |
