Container assemblies such as kegs are subjected to considerable forces when they are located on pellets. This is particularly the case during transport. The present invention provides a container assembly for liquids, such as beverages and oils, that allows relatively straightforward and stable palletization. The container assembly comprises a container, chimes and a valve assembly for feeding a propellant to and dispensing the liquid from the container. A portion of the assembly has a polygonal cross-section. The cross-section at least partially circumscribes the cross-section(s) of the remainder of the assembly. |
