A method for indicating information upon matching of iris information with a water heater configuration scheme. The method comprises: recording a water heater configuration scheme preset by a user; recording a matching relationship between the water heater configuration scheme and a specific iris; reading iris information inputted by a user; detecting whether a water heater configuration scheme matching said iris information exists; if not, then remaining in a current state; and if so, then changing a current configuration scheme to the water heater configuration scheme matching said iris information, and delivering patent information to the user. The present invention realizes a rapid switch between water heater configuration schemes of different users by combining the water heater configuration schemes with a personal identifier (iris).
