A production facility is provided with: an AGV 16 for conveying multiple kinds of body panels 12 of differing shapes that are intermixed on a previously determined conveyance path 14; multiple A/Rs 24 for riveting the body panels 12; work areas 30 set so as to correspond to respective A/Rs 24 and in which the A/Rs 24 move to rivet a body panel 12; and buffer areas 34 set beforehand in the conveyance path 14 adjacent to the work areas 30 and in which the A/R 24 corresponding to the adjacent work area 30 moves to rivet a body panel 12. When there is no body panel 12 to be riveted in a work area 30 adjacent to a buffer area 34 and there is a body panel 12 to be riveted in the buffer area 34, a control device 32 moves the A/R 24, which corresponds to the work area 30 adjacent to the buffer area 34, to the buffer area 34 and rivets the body panel 12. Consequently, the production facility efficiently processes workpieces even when continuously processing multiple workpieces of differing shapes.
