RISER ROTATING CONTROL DEVICE There is disclosed herein an apparatus, comprising: a latch assembly (300) comprising: a retainer member (304) movable between an unlatched position and a latched position; and a first piston (302) movable between a first position and a second position, the first piston (302) causing the retainer member (304) to move to the latched position when the first piston (302) is in the first position and the first piston (302) allowing the retainer member (304) to move to the unlatched position when the first piston (302) is in the second position, wherein the latch assembly (300) is remotely actuatable for moving the first piston (302) to the latched position; and a measuring device (1700) coupled to the latch assembly, said measuring device (1700) used to indicate the position of the retainer member (300).
