The apparatus includes a memory, a communication interface and a processor coupled to the memory, and may implement the method, including: executing, by a processor, an application including a plurality of pages displayable by the electronic device, the plurality of pages including first and second pages corresponding respectively to first and second identifiers, identifying a target page to be displayed on a display from among the first and second pages, transmitting a target identifier corresponding to the target page to an external electronic device via a network, receiving notification information corresponding to the target identifier from the external electronic device, and displaying at least part of the notification information and the target page.

executing an application including a plurality of pages displayable by the electronic device, the plurality of pages including first and second pages corresponding respectively to first and second identifiers; identifying a target page to be displayed on a display from among the first and second pages; transmitting a target identifier corresponding to the target page to an external electronic device via a network; receiving notification information corresponding to the target identifier from the external electronic device; and displaying at least part of the notification information and the target page.
