an insertion portion that is long and has flexibility and is to be inserted into a subject; a distal end portion that is disposed at a distal end of the insertion portion; an ultrasound observation portion that is arranged in the distal end portion; a suction port that is provided in a vicinity of the ultrasound observation portion; a fluid conduit communicating with the suction port; and a first negative pressure regulation portion configured to periodically change a negative pressure for suction that is transmitted to the suction port through the fluid conduit, by controlling the negative pressure for suction at an arbitrary duty ratio. |
