An information prompting method for use when displaying a hidden channel on the basis of a voice command, and a television, relating to the field of household electrical appliances. The method comprises: recording a hidden channel defined by a user and a voice command corresponding to said channel (S101); under normal conditions, not displaying the hidden channel (S102); when the user inputs the voice command corresponding to the hidden channel, displaying the hidden channel, and simultaneously pushing patent information (S103); and after a specified time, masking the optional information of the hidden channel (S104). The user can thereby manage channels that have already been opened, and the innovation of the technical innovator can be recognised and protected. |
