[Problem] To provide a light emitting device capable of focusing laser light emitted from a plurality of light sources to a spot with a predetermined diameter or smaller, whereby the optical intensity per unit area can be increased. [Solution] A light emitting device is provided with: a light source unit including a plurality of laser light sources; a refractive optical system for refracting light entering from each of the plurality of laser light sources; and a light focusing optical system for focusing each of a plurality of refracted lights entering from the refractive optical system, wherein the refractive optical system refracts the lights in such a way that the direction of propagation of a plurality of central light rays emitted along the respective optical axes of the plurality of laser light sources is increasingly distanced away from the optical axis of the light focusing optical system as the light rays travel toward the light focusing optical system. |
