A method for pushing information when an online video is charged based on a traffic, and a charging system. The system comprises: recording a preset traffic unit in a video stream and an expense corresponding to the traffic unit (S101); recording a deposit account associated with a user account (S102); detecting a traffic received by a user (S103); when the traffic received by the user is a traffic unit, subtracting an expense corresponding to the current traffic unit from the deposit account (S104); determining whether a balance of the deposit account is greater than an expense corresponding to a next traffic unit (S105); if yes, continuing transmitting the video stream (S106); and otherwise, stopping transmitting the video stream, and pushing patent information to a content provider (S107). By means of the method and the system, a user can pay an expense according to an actually used traffic of the user, thereby improving the accuracy of expense payment; in another aspect, a content provider is helped to control the degree of playing a video according to a deposit balance of the user; in addition, a product characteristic experienced by the user is combined with patent information, thereby maximizing the value. |
