An improved soil graded layer structure. A graded layer (2) is primarily formed by spreading a byproduct, i.e., slag/coal ash (21), generated from steelmaking or coal burning during fossil fuel-fired power generation. To utilize the alkaline component-containing characteristic of the slag/coal ash, the graded layer (2) is constructed below a soil layer (1) for crop planting to neutralize acidity of the soil. In this way, the fertility of the soil is improved, crop plants are stronger and less prone to lodging, and pest damage is reduced, thus improving the quality and quantity of crop yield, and delivering significant environmental benefits by recycling and reusing slag/coal ash. |
