Disclosed are an image denoising system and an image denoising method. An image signal acquiring unit acquires and outputs an image signal. A processing unit preprocesses the image signal to obtain image data, and performs Sobel operator calculation for the current pixel in the image data so as to obtain the Sobel operator of the current pixel, correct the Sobel operator of the current pixel, and determine, according to the corrected Sobel operator, whether it is necessary to denoise the current pixel. If it is necessary to denoise the current pixel, the processing unit calculates an average pixel value of the pixels around the current pixel, and denoises the current pixel using the average pixel value and the corrected Sobel operator. If it is unnecessary to denoise the current pixel, the processing unit determines whether it is necessary to denoise the next pixel in the image data. |
