A polycarbonate diol, comprising: repeating units represented by formula (A), formula (B) and formula (C); and hydroxyl groups located at both terminals of the polycarbonate diol, wherein the molar ratio of formula (A) to formula (B) is from 1:99 to 99:1, and the molar ratio of the sum of formula (A) and formula (B) to formula (C) is from 1:99 to 99:1, wherein:
R1 represents a C2-C20 alkylene group excluding an alkylene group derived from 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol;R2 represents a linear or branched C2-C20 alkylene group;R3 represents a linear or branched C2-C10 alkylene group; andm and n are independently an integer from 0 to 10, and m+n≧1.
