In a lock-up apparatus provided with an oil chamber for canceling, oil pressure in the canceling oil chamber is stably maintained at the desired oil pressure. This apparatus is provided with a clutch disc (28), a piston (30), a lock-up oil chamber (C1), a canceling oil chamber (C2), and an oil pressure maintenance circuit (58). The lock-up oil chamber (C1) is supplied with hydraulic oil for moving the piston (30) and bringing the clutch disc (28) to a power-transmitting state. The canceling oil chamber (C2) is provided on the side of the piston (30) that is opposite from the lock-up oil chamber (C1), and is supplied with hydraulic oil. The oil pressure maintenance circuit (58), which is provided in an oil passage (P4) that guides hydraulic oil discharged from the canceling oil chamber (C2) to a transmission side, maintains the canceling oil chamber (C2) at a prescribed oil pressure. |
