A laminate (11) having moisture barrier properties, which has a plastic base member (1) that faces a high-moisture atmosphere, wherein a first inorganic barrier layer (3), a moisture-trapping layer (5) and a second inorganic barrier layer (7) are arranged in this order on a side of the plastic base member (1) which does not face the high-moisture atmosphere. The laminate (11) is characterized in that an auxiliary moisture-trapping layer (10) for trapping moisture penetrating through the side surfaces of the laminate (11) is provided on a side of the second inorganic barrier layer (7) which is opposed to the moisture-trapping layer (5), and the auxiliary moisture-trapping layer (10) is located on a surface of the second inorganic barrier layer (7) which faces a low-moisture atmosphere or is located in a region that is apart by 20 μm or less from the aforementioned surface of the second inorganic barrier layer (7).
