A method for displaying a channel based on a password, and a television, the method comprising: recording a hidden channel defined by a user and a password corresponding to said channel; under normal conditions, not displaying the hidden channel; when the user inputs the password corresponding to the hidden channel, displaying the hidden channel; and after a specified time, masking the optional information of the hidden channel. The user can thereby manage channels that have already been opened. |
