1. A human anti-interferon-alpha (IFN-α) antibody or an IFN-α binding fragment thereof wherein the antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof comprises in its variable region the complementarity determining regions (CDRs) depicted in any one of FIG. 1A-I, and wherein the antibody has at least one property selected from:
(i) binds to human IFN-α subtypes IFNA2, IFNA4, IFNA5, IFNA6, IFNA10 and IFNA14; (ii) binds to at least one human IFN-α subtype IFNA1/13 (IFNA1b), IFNA8, IFNA16 and/or IFNA21; and (iii) neutralizes a biological activity of at least one human IFN-α subtypes (iv) binds to and/or neutralizes the activity of IFN-ω, or an antibody or IFN-binding molecule that competes with the binding of the human anti-IFN-α antibody for specific binding to at least one human IFN-α subtype and/or human IFN-ω. |
