The purpose of the present invention is to provide a low-cost, high-performance filtration device that can be used in a filtration system for a water filtration plant. The present invention is a filtration device (1) that removes the microparticles included in a liquid, and that is provided with: a plurality of stacked filter media (20), each comprising woven fabric; a compacting mechanism (10) using the flow of the liquid in the forward direction to compact the plurality of filter media in the forward direction; and a holding mechanism (30) using the flow of the liquid in the reverse direction to hold the plurality of filter media with space separating therebetween in the reverse direction. |
