A liquid crystal display drive device comprises a timing controller (10), a data driver (20), a scan driver (30), a liquid crystal display panel (50) and a programmable gamma circuit (40). The timing controller (10) is connected to the data driver (20) and the scan driver (30), and the programmable gamma circuit (40) is connected to the data driver (20). The data driver (20) converts image data to analog voltage levels. The programmable gamma circuit (40) outputs a reference voltage to the data driver (20) and assigns a value to the reference voltage in real-time. The reference voltage is used to correct the analog voltage levels, such that the data driver (20) outputs grayscale voltage levels to liquid crystal units (51) turned on by the scan driver (30) to enable the liquid crystal display panel (50) to display an image or a black screen. The liquid crystal display drive device addresses the problem in which images for left and right eyes overlap, and significantly reduces power consumption of a drive system at the same time.
