This element is replaceable and can be accommodated between a lower case (12) and an upper case (11) comprising an inlet (22) for introducing fuel. The element is provided with a filter material (30) for filtering fuel and a disk-shaped end plate (40) that supports the filter material and that is arranged so as to face an open end (21a) of the upper case. The end plate is in partial contact with the open end and thereby demarcates a gap between said end plate and the open end. A fuel filter according to the present invention is provided with the element, the upper case, and the lower case. The filter material comprises a cylindrical filter material and is supported on the lower side of the end plate. The lower case accommodates the filter material and the end plate. An outer chamber (35) at which fuel introduced from the inlet arrives via the radially outward side of the end plate is demarcated between the lower case and the filter material. |
