An electric twist tie machine comprises a machine frame (1), a push rod (3) and a push rod drive mechanism comprising a push rod power portion (8) and a drive portion. The drive portion comprises a connection rod (4), a sliding piece, a sliding track (5), and a gear (7). The connection rod (4) is connected between the push rod (3) and the gear (7), and connected to the machine frame (1) via the sliding piece. The sliding piece is rotatably connected to a connection point between the connection rod (4) and the push rod (3). The machine frame comprises the sliding track (5) arranged horizontally for the sliding piece to slide thereon. The sliding track (5) and the push rod (3) are arranged on a same horizontal line. The gear (7) comprises a reinforcement bar (6) connecting from a rotation center of the gear (7) to a connection point connecting to the connection rod (4). The rotation center of the gear (7), the push rod (3), and the sliding track (5) are located on a same horizontal line. The electric twist tie machine is simple in structure, has small energy loss from the power portion to the push rod, and slightly reduces a power requirement of a motor, thereby saving power. |
