Disclosed is a port queue congestion monitoring method, comprising: determining a cache status of a currently polled port queue when it reaches a current monitoring period; determining a first sending status of the port queue when the cache status of the port queue is an abnormal cache state satisfying a preset condition; prolonging the current monitoring period by a preset prolongation duration to determine a second sending status of the port queue when the first sending status of the port queue is an abnormal sending state satisfying a preset condition; and determining that congestion exists in the port queue when the second sending status of the port queue is an abnormal sending state satisfying a preset condition. Also disclosed is a port queue congestion monitoring system. By means of the present invention, congestion monitoring for all port queues on a telecommunications-level router is implemented, and a port queue in which congestion exists is accurately determined in a timely manner, and then the port queue in which congestion exists is processed in a timely manner, thereby reducing negative effects brought by port queue congestion. |
