This element is folded in a pleated manner so as to form a plurality of peaks extending in the axial direction on the inner surface thereof. The element is provided with a cylindrical filter material (31, 33) arranged in an annular shape and a frame (41, 43) that is arranged on the radially inward side of the filter material and that supports the filter material from the radially inward side thereof. The frame is provided with a plurality of annular intermediate beams (41h, 43e, 43f) that extend so as to intersect the peaks. The intermediate beams form annular protrusions (41i, 43g) that support the filter material from the radially inward side thereof. The frame is also provided with a plurality of columns (41j, 43i) that extend along the axial direction and that connect the plurality of intermediate beams. The plurality of columns are arranged further inward in the radial direction than the annular protrusions. A fuel filter according to the present invention is provided with a case (11, 12) that accommodates the element and that allows fuel supplied to an internal combustion engine to pass through the element. |
