PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SPD with a separator capable of being easily made compact by incorporating a plurality of varistors with simple configurations.SOLUTION: The SPD with a separator includes: an inductance 13 serially connected between a power supply side terminal 11 and a load side terminal 12; a first varistor 16 connected between a connection point 14 between the power supply side terminal 11 and the inductance 13 and a ground side terminal 15; and a second varistor 18 connected between a connection point 17 between the load side terminal 12 and the inductance 13 and the ground side terminal 15 in parallel with the frist varistor 16. The connection side of the first varistor 16 is commonly connected to the connection side of the second varistor 18, and a single separator 20 is disposed between a common connection point 19 and the ground side terminal 15 for separating the first varistor 16 and the second variator 18 from the ground side connection terminal 15 during the abnormal heat generation of the first varistor 16 or the second variator 18. |
