Disclosed is a bleeder cord affixing device 20 that affixes bleeder cords C, which are threads for air bleeding, to a treatment member T such as a carcass ply or a belt member which is a tire structural element. The bleeder cord affixing device 20 is made up of an affixing roller 27 extending in a width direction of the treatment member T and adapted to be pressed into the treatment member T being moved, thereby to be rotated; and a roller moving mechanism 21 that moves the affixing roller 27 to and away from the treatment member T. In a state where a rubber member R of adhesive nature is attached to leading ends of a plurality of the bleeder cords C in rows and is adhered to the outer circumferential surface of the affixing roller 27 in a standby position away from the treatment member T, the roller moving mechanism 21 operates to move the affixing roller 27 to a pressed position urged to the treatment member T, with a result that the affixing roller 27 is caused to be rotated due to the movement of the treatment member T at the pressed position and attaches the rubber member R to the treatment member T under the pressing force, and then presses the bleeder cords C onto the treatment member T to continuously affix the bleeder cords C onto the surface of the treatment member T. |
