摘要 The invention provides a wind turbine blade having a base body with a base material and at least one coating of the base body with a coating material, wherein the coating material comprises a composite material with conductive particles. The wind turbine blade is characterized in that the composite material comprises fiber glass. Preferably the fiber glass form a glass fiber mat. Additionally the invention provides a method for manufacturing such a wind turbine blade. The method comprises following steps: a) Providing the base body of the wind turbine blade; and b) Applying the coating on a surface of the base body. The resulting wind turbine blade comprises an efficient and reliable lighting protecting system. Due to the low resistance of the coating lightning current is guided to a lightning receptor connected with the coating. The probability for the occurrence of a damage of the base body of the wind turbine caused by a lightning stroke is reduced.
