[Class 125 (ii)] A filling-nozzle for a bottling-machine has a flat rotary distributer valve 24 operating between the opposed valve faces of a pair of housing members 2, 6 in communication with the supply tank and filling nozzle respectively. Each housing member has a similar series of ducts for the passage of fluid, counter-pressure, gas, and foam discharge leading to ports in its valve face, the ducts and ports in each series being axially opposite one another respectively. The distributer valve is provided with holes which connect up pairs of ducts corresponding to each other during the rotary movement thereof. The valve 24 may be of ebonite or formed with ebonite faces held apart by rubber.</p> |
