PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a conductive material allowing for simply manufacturing the conductive material excellent in electrical conductivity at low cost only by a very simple equipment, and to provide the conductive material.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a conductive material comprises: heating an object to be processed 10 having a surface consisting of a porous structure of a metal oxide in a nitrogen gas atmosphere (S) in the state of being buried in a carbon source powder 12 including a carbon powder and at least one kind of powder among iron, nickel, cobalt, iron alloy, nickel alloy and cobalt alloy; substituting the metal oxide having the porous structure with a metal nitride, a metal carbide or a metal carbon nitride; and converting the object to be processed into a conductive material keeping the porous structure to obtain the conductive material excellent in electrode performance. |
