[Class 35.] Electrical machines having separate fans for internal and external ventilation are provided with a single fan motor independent of the machine to be cooled. A motor 2 drives an internal air circulating fan 3 and an external ventilating fan 4 which are arranged at opposite ends of the motor. The internal air current moves in a closed circuit through a pipe 7 whilst the external fan forces fresh air guided by a hood 9 over the ribbed machine casing.
