PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape measuring apparatus for a pipe end which is capable of automatically and highly accurately measuring the shape of the pipe end and to provide a shape measuring method.SOLUTION: The shape measuring apparatus includes a base 30 which is movable in the direction of the center axis 90a of a pipe 90, an apparatus body 40 which is vertically movable, a rotary body 41 which is rotatably held and has a detector for the rotation angle of the rotary body 41, an arm support 50 which is held to be movable in a radial direction and holds an outer side arm 51 and an inner side arm 52, a position detector for the arm support 50, an outer surface following mechanism 60 which energizes an outer roller and makes it follow the outer surface of the pipe 90, a position detector for the outer roller, an inner surface following mechanism 70 which energizes an inner roller to a position opposite to the outer roller in the inner surface of the pipe 90 and makes the inner roller follow, and automatic measuring means which calculates an outer radius and an inner radius from a value detected by the outer roller position detector, an inner roller position detector, and an arm position detector at each predetermined angle, in such a state that the rotary body 41 is rotated and outputs profile data. |
