PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination system capable of accurately determining the purpose of gas consumption at a low cost.SOLUTION: A residence of a gas consumer 1 is equipped with a gas water heater 11, a gas stove 12, and a gas fan heater 13 as gas apparatuses. A determination system S is configured to noninvasively measure gas usage through a gas meter 16 and determines gas use purpose, and includes a gas flow meter 2 and a purpose determination device 3. The gas flow meter 2 is coupled to the gas meter 16, and issues a detection signal indicating that a unit amount of has been consumed whenever a fixed amount of gas passes through the gas meter 16. The purpose determination device 3 carries out processing for determining whether the use purpose of the consumed gas is the gas water heater 11, the gas stove 12, or the gas fan heater 13, on the basis of the presence/absence, interval, and continuity of the generation of the detection signal by the gas flow meter 2. |
