Embodiments of the present invention provide a cell handover method. In the method: a first operation indicator and a preconfigured parameter that are sent by an RNC are received; and if the first operation indicator is used to instruct to hand over a downlink serving cell, according to a configuration parameter of a downlink HS-DSCH link, the downlink serving cell is handed over from a serving cell to a target cell and an uplink serving cell is kept in the serving cell; or if the first operation indicator is used to instruct to hand over only an uplink serving cell, the uplink serving cell is handed over from a serving cell to a target cell according to a configuration parameter of an uplink E-DCH link. By means of this method, cell decoupling can be completed in a process of completing cell handover, which avoids a complex process in which UE performs decoupling after the UE hands over both an uplink serving cell and a downlink serving cell to a target cell, improves serving cell decoupling efficiency, avoids signaling overheads caused by repeated transmission of a configuration parameter, and saves system resources. |
