Provided is a method for producing 1,3-butadiene for obtaining 1,3-butadiene from ethanol by a simple and industrially advantageous method. This method for producing 1,3-butadiene is a method for obtaining 1,3-butadiene from ethanol, being characterized by contacting a raw material that contains ethanol with a catalyst while heating, the catalyst comprising an oxide (component A) of a metal from group 4 to 13 of the periodic table, a magnesium oxide (component B), and a binder component (component C) that contains an inorganic oxide other than the above. |
