PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that effectively produces polyalkylene glycol in which an active species for producing polyalkylene glycol and/or a raw material of the active species that can affect when being used as a polyurethane raw material are effectively removed, and a residual amount thereof is low.SOLUTION: A production method of polyalkylene glycol includes at least the following (A) process and (B) process. (A) process: a process in which an active species for producing polyalkylene glycol is prepared by an imino group inclusion phosphazenium salt and an active hydrogen compound, and then a polymerization reaction of an alkylene oxide is performed. (B) process: a process in which the polyalkylene glycol obtained by the (A) process is contacted with a magnesium silicate compound having an average grain diameter of 25-500 μm, the magnesium silicate compound is separated from the polyalkylene glycol, then contacted with an aluminum silicate compound having an average grain diameter of 100-500 μm, and a specific surface of at least 100 m/g and less than 450 m/g, and subsequently the aluminum silicate compound is separated. |
