PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of molding a thermoplastic composite material which can solve problems of conventional techniques including poor binding between a thermoplastic film and a cloth material, unclearness of a pattern formed on a thermoplastic resin and difficulty of diversification of structures of a thermoplastic composite material.SOLUTION: A method of molding a thermoplastic composite material includes a step of cutting a thermoplastic film 10 and a cloth material 20 into specified shapes, a step of loading the thermoplastic film 10 on the upper surface of a loading table 30 of a molding machine, with the adhesion layer of the thermoplastic film 10 upward, and superimposing the cloth material 20 on the upper surface of the thermoplastic film 10 to cover the thermoplastic film 10 and a step of heating the thermoplastic film 10 by a heating unit 40 to make the adhesion layer 12 in a molten state and thereby soften the surface layer 11 and sucking air in a plurality of air passages 31 by a vacuum treatment unit 34 to arrange a press member 50 under pressure on the upper surface of the cloth material 20. |
