The device (1) has an embossing roller (2L) or a counter-roller (3) driven by a drive (6). The embossing roller comprises teeth (5, 5B) projected from a base cylinder and driving the counter-roller. The teeth or ridges are provided in a logo area (8A) and paper, synthetic or hybrid foils e.g. packaging foils. A diameter of a portion of the embossing roller is in a range of 0.02 to 0.20 mm over an axial length that is equal to width of the foils. The diameter of the portion of the embossing roller is less than a diameter of another portion of the embossing roller. |
