摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further properly control a backflow of an exhaust gas via a low-pressure EGR passage, in an internal combustion engine having the low pressure EGR passage which connects an exhaust passage and an intake passage at a downstream side of an exhaust emission control device, a low-pressure EGR control valve of the low-pressure EGR passage, and an intake throttle valve which is arranged at an intake passage at an upstream side rather than a connecting point between the low-pressure EGR passage and the intake passage.SOLUTION: This control device of an internal combustion engine detects a pressure difference between an upstream side and a downstream side of a low-pressure EGR control valve by using a differential pressure detection device, and controls an operation of the EGR control valve and an intake throttle valve on the basis of the detection. When the intake throttle valve is in a non-operation full-opened state, a differential pressure measuring device detects a pressure difference between a first area part between the intake throttle valve and the EGR control valve, and a second area part at an upstream side rather than the EGR control valve, and when the intake throttle valve is in an operation state, the differential pressure measuring device detects a pressure difference between an upstream side and a downstream side of the EGR control valve on the basis of a pressure difference between the second area part and a third area part at a downstream side rather than the second area part and at an upstream side rather than the EGR control valve.
