AIRFLOW INJECTION NOZZLE FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE

An airflow injection nozzle (84) for a stage of airflow injection nozzles (82) located in a turbine section of the gas turbine engine is provided. The airflow injection nozzle (84) includes a leading end (140) positioned opposite of a trailing end (142), as well as a pressure side (136) positioned opposite of a suction side (138). The airflow injection nozzle (84) includes an opening (134) positioned on the pressure side (136) oriented generally in a flow direction of the gas turbine engine for injecting a flow of bleed air from a compressor section of the gas turbine engine into the turbine section of the gas turbine engine.
