PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image, by which a toner having a desired particle diameter, a sharp particle size distribution and desired chargeability and giving a favorable image can be produced.SOLUTION: A method for producing a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image includes a step of adding a flocculant to an aqueous medium prepared by dispersing binder resin fine particles comprising a binder resin that contains an amino group and/or a quaternary ammonium salt group, so as to flocculate the binder resin fine particles. At least one compound selected from citric acid, oxalic acid, tartaric acid, citrate, oxalate, tartrate, citric acid hydrate, oxalic acid hydrate, and tartaric acid hydrate is used as the flocculant. |
