A method of manufacturing the positive electrode active material for the lithium secondary battery is characterized that coprecipitation hydroxide precursor and lithium compound are mixed and sintered at 700 to 800°C, or coprecipitated carbonate precursor and lithium compound are mixed and sintered at 800 to 900°C.
